Real numbers, not a vague promise

Commission income creates bookkeeping gaps quickly

Commission income doesn't arrive on a schedule, and that's part of the problem, but it's not the only one.

Nobody's checking whether you're actually self-employed

Most Ontario agents are treated as independent contractors, but that classification hinges on specific factors CRA looks at, like who controls the work and who owns the tools. It's worth confirming rather than assuming, since it changes how your income gets reported.

Your T4A might not tell the whole story

Some brokerages report your gross commission before their split. Others report the net amount after it. If nobody's reconciling that slip against your actual deposits, you could be reporting the wrong number without ever knowing it.

HST doesn't kick in the way most people think

The timing depends on how you cross the $30,000 mark, and getting it wrong means owing HST you never collected. More on that below.

PRECs play by different rules

If you've incorporated, you're looking at T2 preparation on top of everything else, not instead of it.

Records and mileage need to stand up later

CRA generally wants these kept for six years, and a properly kept mileage log tends to be the difference between a vehicle claim that holds up and one that gets flagged.

How it works

A clear route from setup review to ongoing books

We figure out your setup

Personal or PREC, registered for HST or not, how many months need review.

We go through your records

Statements, accounts, expenses, past filings.

You get a scope and a quote

Monthly bookkeeping, a cleanup, HST filing, whatever actually applies.

We do the work

We do the work and set up your ongoing schedule.

GST/HST timing

The $30,000 threshold isn't one simple rule

How you cross the threshold matters

The $30,000 threshold isn't one simple rule. Cross it in a single quarter and you're required to register immediately, with HST applying from the sale that pushed you over. Cross it gradually across four quarters instead, and your deadline shifts to the end of the following month. Miss that distinction and you can end up owing HST you never actually collected.

Income tax and HST use different calendars

Self employed individuals generally had until June 15, 2026 to file their 2025 return, though any balance owing was due April 30, 2026. Your GST/HST filing dates depend on your assigned reporting period.

Pricing: Your actual monthly fee gets confirmed after Step 2, once we know your volume, your accounts, and whether cleanup's involved.

This needs a real name, real credentials, and a real reviewed date before it's ready to publish. We're not filling this in with an invented reviewer or a made up case study just to have something here, so it stays a placeholder until the actual details land.

Depends on your transaction volume, number of accounts, HST filing frequency, and whether there's cleanup involved. You'll get a fixed quote after we review your setup.

Not even close. We scope the cleanup first, then move you into regular monthly bookkeeping once you're caught up.

Yes. HST tracking is built into your monthly bookkeeping and connects straight into your GST/HST filing.

It adds T2 preparation and corporate records on top of your usual bookkeeping, but yes, we handle it.

That's the core of what we do here. It's the first thing we check.

Most agents are better off monthly given how commission income lands, but it depends on your volume and whether you're currently caught up.

We confirm your setup, look at your records, and hand you a clear scope covering exactly what you need.
